What's happening with PIP?

Thursday, 27 March 2025

The government aims to reduce welfare spending by supporting those with the most severe disabilities.

They've suggested that increasing the assessment requirements will help make the system fairer.

If you have a severe, long-term condition, you won't be reassessed.

If you don't, you'll receive a letter from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). However, not until November 2026.

We know it's a difficult subject - but you're not alone. The government is looking at plans to make sure people who lose their PIP still receive support. You'll also have the option to appeal the decision.
