Support for parents and carers

Would you like support with family problems?

The Families First directory has information on local organisations that can help.

Whether you’re worried about your child’s development or behaviour, housing or money, drug or alcohol issues in the family, there is support available.

You might simply want to join a parenting group or find activities for your child.

If you're pregnant or a parent/carer of a child under 5, the family centre service offers support, fun play sessions and a chance to meet new people. Click here for more information.

Hertfordshire County Council, Herts Sports Partnership and Hertfordshire Community Foundation have joined forces to deliver healthy food alongside physical and enrichment activities, under the name ‘HAPpy: Hertfordshire’s Holiday Activity Programme’.

HAPpy aims to tackle the triple inequalities of holiday hunger, physical inactivity and social isolation. It supports children aged from 5 to 16 who are eligible for benefits related to free school meals during the school holidays.
